Understanding Your Audience

Questions to Ask about Your Audience

  • What is their role in the organization?

  • What is their day-to-day experience like?

  • What do they need to know to be successful?

  • What do they need to do?

  • What motivates them?

  • Why do they come to work every day?

  • Plus, many more!

Why Is This Important?

In my experience, many learning designers gloss over the audience's needs, which means you could end up with a training that seems amazing but doesn't result in real behavior change.

And I don't know about you, but if I'm going to put in the effort, I want to see the results!

I bet you do too.
