Three Professional Development Trends in 2023

Moving into 2023, I conducted market research calls to learn more about what nonprofits are thinking about and are struggling with in the area of staff development.

In this week's episode of Learning for Good, I am going to share with you what I heard as trends for 2023.

Episode 21: Three Professional Development Trends in 2023

What You Will Discover:

[02:09] Now’s the time to invest in people managers

Your people managers are critical to the success of your organization. They help you implement change. They support staff in their daily tasks. They guide staff through challenging times and celebrations. They provide resources to their staff. When we focus on developing the people manager, the ripple effects can be felt throughout the organization.

[04:14] Organizations are elevating mental health needs

Many staff are facing burnout and mental health is becoming a more common topic for Human Resources and Learning and Development staff to discuss. How can we support our staff? What resources do they need? Who will provide those resources? These are the questions organizations are asking.

[05:48] Center the learner to see true behavior change
